September 2-6, 2016

The late summer sun is traditionally a time of harvest and celebration.
We rejoice in the bounties of life and give thanks for what supports us in our lives. At the same time, we have an eye to the season ahead and what it may ask of us. Quietly, like ants, we prepare.

Perhaps a new work responsibility or life role approaches. Maybe we are moving town or changing lifestyle. Or we have been through a transition or loss and now find ourselves in new uncharted territory. Maybe we have been inward for some time and hear the world now knocking at our door.

This can be both thrilling and scary. We celebrate as we look back at how far we have come and the many gifts collected along the way. We might also take stock of what is now needed, to see what is essential before going forward. It can also be a time when we need to strengthen our resources to prepare for our next steps.

It’s a time when we gather together, like a village, to support each other to step into those bigger shoes.

Nestled into beautiful hills, with hidden rock pools and ancient pine forests, the beautiful surroundings of Tadah in Antalya, Turkey, will be our home for this exploration.

Through movement and ritual, constellation and storytelling, meditation and nature connection, we invite you to come step into your bigger shoes.

Who is this for?

Anyone. No prior experience needed.
Wherever you are, we want to meet and celebrate you.

Who are we?

Alexa Rani Schmid fell in love with the 5Rhythms® in 1999 and was subsequently trained by Gabrielle Roth and her faculty over many years. She teaches both the Wave and Heartbeat levels of the 5Rhythms® map internationally. She is also a trained pedagogue and counsellor in Integrated Body Psychology (IKP). She has studied many forms of body-based healing including Ayurvedic Yoga and Biodynamic Breath and continues to study different movement practices, working with trauma and meditation. She is a student of Daan van Kampenhout, the creator of Systemic Ritual, which incorporates ritual and the ancestral realm into her practice. Alexa is based in Istanbul and leads groups in Turkey, Greece, Dubai, Iran, Eastern Europe and Switzerland. She brings a deep sense of compassion, clarity and humour to her work. She offers the participants an opportunity to become curious about the latent potential in their moving bodies and hearts. Her presence supports them to step into the unknown in a safe environment where they can become aware of their own skills and creativity through exploring movement.

Pelin Turgut was a writer for publications such as TIME magazine and The Independent. At the same time, from 2002, she co-founded and co-directed !f Istanbul, the international independent film festival that celebrates contemporary cinema as well as new generation activism. In 2007, after a series of losses, she walked 350 kilometers along the ancient pilgrimage route of Camino de Santiago in Spain. It was a transformative experience and the start of an inward journey that led to many adventures. Meditation and prayer became part of her daily life. In 2013, Pelin trained with The International School of Storytelling in Sussex. She also trained in systemic constellation with international teacher and therapist Svagito Liebermeister over several years and is currently studying with Daan van Kampenhout, the creator of Systemic Ritual. These streams – story-telling, constellation and ritual- inform her work with people. She works with adults of all backgrounds drawing on fairy tales, biographical maps and the ancestral realm to enable a deeper understanding of the mythic nature of a life journey. She leads groups in the UK and Turkey.
